The majority of Stamina’s rowing machines, such as the Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050, have been designed for those on a budget, and the Stamina 1215 is no exception. However, despite its low price, it still comes with a decent range of features, and perhaps most importantly, a lifelike rowing motion, making it a good choice for anyone looking to buy their first rower.
While budget rowers such as the Stamina 1215 aren’t able to mimic the true motion of rowing on the water like high-end rowers can, it still does a good job of replicating that feel of rowing on the water.
This has been achieved thanks to two things: the hydraulic resistance cylinders, which can also be adjusted to a range of different tensions, allowing you to tailor your workout to be as easy or challenging as you want it to be; and the seat, which glides smoothly along the rail.
Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine Review
The Stamina 1215 comes with a computer console that is somewhat basic in its functionality. For example, you won’t be able to check your pulse, but you will be able to check the number of calories burned, number of miles rowed, time, distance, row count and speed, which should be more than enough for most.
Stamina tend to do a good job of making sure that users are provided with a comfortable workout experience with all of their exercise equipment. Fortunately, the same holds true for the Stamina 1215.
The seat is thickly padded and, as mentioned, glides along smoothly on the ball bearing roller system; the rowing hand grips are covered in foam so to minimize any strain and reduce any fatigue felt on the hands as you row; and the foot plates are also pivoted and oversized, allowing anyone to find a comfortable fit regardless of their foot size.
Considering that the Stamina 1215 only weighs 47 pounds, you would think that it would have stability problems and wobble from side to side as you row. Thankfully, this isn’t the case, as the frame is not only wide but also directly rests on the floor, ensuring that there is no chance of the machine wobbling as you row.
Storing the machine is a straightforward and simple process, as the rowing arms can be folded.
The rower is backed by a 5-year frame and 90-day parts warranty.

STAMINA 1215 REVIEW BY USERS:
Consumers have had very good things to say about the Stamina 1215, with many pointing to the rower’s ease of assembly, construction quality as well as the effectiveness of the workout received as its main strengths.
You should also keep in mind that there have been a few complaints regarding quality control issues, as a few users found the machine to break after a few months of use. However, this seemed to only be the case when the Stamina 1215 was first released, as there have been no complaints since (Stamina redesigned the rollers). Still, we thought that you should be aware of this.
